There have been more than 2.5 million arrivals of domestic and foreign tourists coming to the Moc Bai border gate to go shopping and sightseeing from the beginning of this year until now, increasing by 500,000 visitors compared with the same period last year.

The number was announced by Phan Minh Thanh, head of the Moc Bai border gate’s management board in Tay Ninh province.

Now the Moc Bai border gate has a trade area 152 ha wide, consisting 11 projects, which has total registered-investment capital of VND 800 billion. The trade area is filled with 60 percent import goods and 40 percent domestic goods.

The border gate is expected to reach a turnover of VND1,500 billion.
