VB074: MAI CHAU – NINH BINH TRAVERSE (3 Days/ 2 Nights)

This three-day trip offers an glimpse into the life of Thai and Hmong people in Vietnam, with a combination of cultural sightseeing and soft adventure activities. Combining both Mai Chau and Ninh Binh, this trip is a great choice for those with limited time.

Day 1: Hanoi – Hoa Binh – Mai Chau – Lac village

Depart Hanoi at 08 00 am for a 2 hours heading south-west to Hoa Binh town, Once there we will visit a Muong village. After having met the local villagers, we drive back to Hoa Binh town for lunch. After lunch, we continue to drive for another 2 hours to Mai Chau. Arrive Mai Chau in mid-afternoon, we check in our homestay at Lac village. Free for personal exploration of this beautiful little village of White Thai minority. Tonight, we stay overnight on a house-on-stilts.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Sa Linh – Ninh Binh (B)

After breakfast, we drive for an hour to the Hmong village of Sa Linh, we spent about an hour walking around to see how the people of this isolated village do business and make their living. Return to Mai Chau for lunch. Bidding farewell to the family, we start our drive downhill to Ninh Binh. Overnight at hotel in Ninh Binh.

Day 3: Hoa Lu – Tam coc – Hanoi (B)

Start at 08 30 am, we drive for half an hour to Hoa Lu – Vietnam former capital, where we can visit the Dinh and Le sanctuaries. Option: Walk up 200 steps to see King Dinh’s tomb & panoramic view of the region.

We then move on to Tam Coc for a 3-hour boat trip along the Boi river. Along the way we will visit caves and ancient temples. After lunch we can make a visit Bich Dong Pagodas before making our way back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi around 16.00 pm.

    Then pick up you to visit Museum of Ethnology – the most beautiful and biggest one in Hanoi, Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as 's first university, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple and walking on 36 old streets...
    Today. You’ll have a guided visit to the Ancient Town of Hoi An with Japanese covered brigde, Quan Cong temple and Tan Ky House. Lunch at your own. Following the tour there is free time to discover Hoi An.
